Dr. Nastaran Karami DMD Hons (Dr. Med. Dent.) Nastaran qualified in 1999 and worked in the same practice in West London for over 11 years and built a large loyal patient base over the years. She has also gained experience working internationally. Nastaran is very passionate about dentistry and believes strongly in prevention. Nastaran is dedicated to helping patients with their needs using a wide range of modern techniques and treatments. Nastaran keeps up to date on the latest advances in dentistry by regularly attending training sessions. She particularly enjoys treating nervous patients and goes to great lengths to put everyone at ease to ensure a comfortable dental experience. Nastaran’s areas of expertise are:

Ella Cleveland - Smith

Ella is a graduate from University of Portsmouth Dental Academy with a BSc(Hons) degree in dental hygiene. Ella worked closely with the university and was a guest speaker in the Schwartz Rounds which offers a safe place for anyone working in the medical field to share stories and experiences in hopes to help support each other with their mental health. Ella has a passion working to help treat and prevent gum disease and helping nervous patients feel more at ease and have a positive experience with their appointments.
Ella has lots of nieces and nephews she like to spend her spare time with.
Philippa Hood
GDC Reg: 271931
Philippa qualified in 2021 from the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. Originally from Bath, she moved to Southsea to qualify as a Dental Nurse back in 2016. Philippa is passionate about gum disease and prevention as well as education.
Philippa enjoys spending her spare time bouldering and swimming, and walking her dog by the sea! Philippa currently works part time at MediKa Dental.
James Oliver
James qualified from the University of Portsmouth as a Dental Hygiene and Dental therapist. James has a keen interest in gum disease and enjoys motivating and working together with his patients. James also likes working with nervous patients to help ensure they have a positive dental experience.
James likes to spend his free time gyming, cooking and listening to a large variety of music. James works at MediKa part time at present.
